Kids and Cheetos = A Mess

For anyone who knows me, they know I do not like messes, especially on my hands. So to let my kids eat cheetos is a stretch for me. My mom bought the kids a bag, so I thought let's give it a try! Here are the results.

This is Layni with one of her daddy's t-shirt sleeves on her head and a clean face!!
Cheetos and Hotdogs, appetizing huh?!

Brooks definitely loved the cheetos, in his hair, fingers and all over his face!

YEAH FOR CHEETOS!

Florida Vacation 09'

Life has been so crazy, I'm not even really sure what happened in the months of January and February. Again, finishing graduate school has kept life jumping. So...my one rescue was a break from it all and a well needed vaca in Florida!! We went with my parents, my brother and sister-in-law to Ft. Lauderdale, Weston and Jupiter Florida for St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training. It was ABSOLUTELY wonderful to get away for a week!

Brooks sitting on top of my mom. There apparently was no where else to sit!!

James and Layni playing in the ocean, it was hard to keep her away.

The first stop was Ft. Lauderdale where we spent a day at the beach! Layni and Brooks were extremely excited. Layni loved the sand and water. Brooks loved the water too much! We're thinking he thought it was a gigantic bathtub!!

Layni loved the sand. Loves visiting the beach!

Brooks was very excited to see the "big bath tub"! It was a full-time job keeping him from jumping in.

We stayed in Weston, Florida for the remainder of the vacation. My parent's have a time share and we were fortunate to go along for the ride! There was a lot of relaxing, sunning and laying by the pool for us. Florida evidently was experiencing a drought, but while we were there it rain everyday for awhile...I believe they are no longer in a drought!!!

Layni playing in the pool, with some other little kid's ball!

Brooks' happy face in the pool!

These are some of the other visitors at the resort, do you notice anything interesting about them?

St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training was fun. It was basically scaled down version of a major league ballpark with everything a major league game could offer! It was fun being so close to the field and players.

Brooks loves being outdoors and loves baseball, especially his St. Louis Cardinals.

It's baseball season, YEAH!!

Christmas 08' I know it's been a long time!!

As you can tell, I have had no time to update our blog! Sad I know. School has kept me extremely busy! So I am updating my blog while I have some time. Christmas was a fun time and I know the kids got way more than they ever needed! Here are a few highlights from all the Christmas Events!

This is a picture from Layni's first Christmas program at church! What an experience!!! She was on the stage, then off the stage. Smelling the ponsettia's and laying down. Needless to say, singing played at back seat. Luckily, she wasn't the only little one doing these things, her cohort in crime is Aiden, the little boy in the picture. They even managed to lock lips at the end of the performance! Why my child?!!

I have a very difficult time getting both of them to sit together for the same picture. I was very fortunate to get them to sit in front of the tree for a nice picture together! Most of all the other pictures taken at Christmas are seperate shots of each. Layni and Brooks are just way to busy and can't sit still for a second! This is Layni and Brooks Christmas day posing nicely!

Layni is at my parent's house for Christmas. She got all kinds of things and I don't think a single thing she asked for was overlooked. Spoiled...I know and James and I have tried so hard to prevent, but Grandparent's make it too difficult!!

Brooks received a lot of new trucks for Christmas. He finally had starting showing some real interest in toys and the poor boy didn't have many trucks...Christmas fixed him right up. Now we all get our feet ran over with Brooks and his trucks!

This was the first chance for my mom and I to get a 4 generation picture with her parent's! Time flies so quickly and sometimes before you know it, loved ones are gone and your chance has been lost! We wanted to get a picture with the both of them. My Granny and Grandaddy are the most precious people in the whole world!!!
