Because I have so much time on my hands with classes, clinical, work, 2 children, a husband and renovating...I decided that with so many close friends and family living far away, that it might would be nice to have a site for everyone to stay in touch and keep up on the happenings in the Roberts household. It is never a dull moment for sure.
At the moment we are currently finishing renovations on our house in Knottsville, so we can sell and move. We are buying my grandparent's house and acreage in Pellville, just a few miles down the road. While it is very overwhelming, we are all very excited! James is excited to have land of his own to hunt and play on. I'm excited to have a house off the road for Layni and Brooks to play in and not worry about getting hit by a car. The plans are to have all renovations done and on the market in 2 weeks. So we are very hopeful that all goes well and the house sells VERY quickly!

Brooks is now 8 months old. Crawling, pulling up and walking around things. He is on the move and NOTHING is safe anymore. He has also figured out that if he crawls to the kitchen and cries long enough, we may get the hint that he wants his sippy cup! Oh how young they start! Other than being terribly serious about eating, he is the happiest baby I have ever encoutered. He is very laid back and seems to enjoy watching Layni run around in circles.

Layni will be 3 years old, October 5th! My how time flies by. We tried to start pre-school this year but she missed the deadline by a month. So we will continue attempting to teach her colors and letters on our own. I think it turns out to be much more work for us than her though. Layni is the busiest person I know, besides my mom. She eats, talks, reads and watches tv standing up. She doesn't know what sitting still or not talking is.
Well...I think this is a pretty good start. I know everyone is more interested in the little ones than James and I, so I'll try and keep current pictures and happenings updated.
